STOP TRYING TO TURN EVERY GOOD WOMAN INTO A RELATIONSHIP

Men will say, “You can’t find no good women,” while running through every good woman they meet trying to turn the connection sexual.

That might be part of the problem.

Every woman who brings something solid to your life does not need to become your girlfriend, your situation, or somebody you sleep with.

SEX CHANGES THE RULES

Friendship gives people room to be useful to each other without all the extra expectations.

You can talk. You can learn from each other. You can call for advice. You can support each other. You can get a woman’s perspective on something you would never hear from your homeboys.

Once sex gets involved, the rules can change fast.

Now feelings matter different. Attention matters different. Who else somebody is talking to matters. Text response times matter. Jealousy can show up. Expectations can show up that were never there before.

Something that was simple can get complicated for no good reason.

A GOOD FEMALE FRIEND CAN BE A REAL ASSET

A solid woman in your corner might tell you when you are moving wrong before you embarrass yourself.

She might help you understand how women are hearing what you are saying.

She might support your business, share your work, help with an idea, look out for your kids, cook something when everybody is together, or just be somebody you can talk to without all the competition men sometimes bring into friendships.

That value is real.

And if you turn every good connection into a sexual opportunity, you might lose the exact thing that made the relationship useful.

NOT EVERY CONNECTION NEEDS TO BE CONQUERED

Some dudes treat women like every interaction has to lead somewhere.

It can just lead to friendship.

That does not make you weak. It does not mean you “missed your chance.” It might mean you were smart enough to recognize a good person and not destroy a clean relationship chasing a temporary feeling.

FRIENDSHIP LETS YOU SEE PEOPLE CLEARER

When you are not trying to impress somebody, sleep with them, or make them choose you, you get a different view of who they are.

You see how they treat people. How they think. How they handle pressure. Whether they keep their word. Whether they are solid when there is nothing romantic to gain.

That kind of connection can last for years.

THIS GOES BOTH WAYS

Women can do the same thing too. A good man does not automatically need to become a boyfriend. Sometimes a person belongs in your life in a different role.

The bigger lesson is learning not to force every valuable connection into the same box.

Some people are partners. Some are friends. Some are business connections. Some are mentors. Some are family by choice.

When you respect the role, you get more from the relationship.

KEEP GOOD PEOPLE GOOD

If somebody is solid, don’t create unnecessary confusion just because you are attracted to them.

You can acknowledge attraction and still use discipline.

You can appreciate a woman and not pursue her.

You can have chemistry and still decide the friendship is worth more.

Sometimes the cheat code is simple: stop trying to sleep with every good woman you meet and let some good people stay good people.
